Today’s ‘to do’ list….a trip into the clouds

Looking at today’s schedule, she reflects

There will always be things on the ‘to do’ list

Always be more friends she ‘could’ potentially meet up with

Always…..

Today’s schedule

Typical

Too much to achieve

An ongoing list

Currently occupying

The majority of her time

Time

The most precious gift we can give to another

Her mind drifts

Up and away

Into clouds

Forgetting the list

Elevated

Above the busy

Into the place

That very special one

Time

Will be spent

So differently here

She smiles

“you have a date tonight…..please be ready at 6 pm” she sends this small, intimate message to him alone

“I will be ready” his immediate response

“Tonight’s attire will be a casual dressy…we will be traveling, more details are unknown at this time” she sends her second message

“Interesting….will we be out late?” his reply

“we will…and I will be wearing a red dress, just in case you are interested. Would you prefer my hair up or down?” she smiles, how she loves teasing him this way

“Red is my favorite color, and let’s start with your hair up” he teases back

She can’t help falling more in love with this man on a day such as this

Thankful for God’s patience and grace in sending him to her, she sends her quiet prayer of gratefulness. She thanks Him also for the gentle reminder that time is a most precious gift meant to be shared with those we love, and this comes before the ‘to do’ list.

And as she drifts back down,

Out of those clouds…..

Into her reality

She is alone

But her smile remains.

As does that certain promise she tries always to remember.

He is indeed out there….

Mark 10:8-9 “and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
