The power of a group

I lead online small groups

Why?

There is an interesting power that happens in them

People feel comfortable sharing

Is it because they are behind the screen? Safe?

Not sure.

About 4-5 sessions in, I ask who would be interested in meeting for brunch or coffee in person

And about 30-50% agree to do so

Ordinary people like you and I

Simply wanting some type of connection

One small town girl

Leading a small online group

Helping others to grow and reach outside their comfort zone

There is power in groups

Listening for communication

So much communication is found in listening

Observing

And just being open to processing what is being said

Yet, we miss this piece

We listen to respond

It is indeed a gift when we do take that step back and allow our minds time to process all the cues

When we listen and observe for the communication

And when we do…. a connection forms

And after several of those a relationship
